LD Systems MON 8 A G3

I think that for it’s intended purpose (stage monitor), this is an excellent piece of gear. It is relatively small when compared to other stage monitors, it looks unobtrusive, has a solid build quality and sounds good. Just don’t haul it around too much.
I tried it as an FRFR speaker with a Kemper Profiler Player. It sounds good, but I find it too big and heavy for taking it along to the kind of small gigs that I do. Also, for the purpose of mobility, it lacks an option to carry it with one hand.
I was hoping it would sound a bit more ‘mature’ then my Bose S1+, but it doesn’t. They both sound good, but the Bose is about half the weight and a lot smaller. For the intended purpose of stage monitor, the LD seems the better choice. In comparison, the Bose feels a bit flimsy and ‘consumer-grade’, as it is light and obviously made of plastic. But for the purpose of a small, easy to carry (sort of) FRFR speaker, I prefer the smaller and lighter Bose.
