Both the hardware and its firmware have been brought right up to date, improving performance across the board. These upgrades mean, for instance, more transparency when reproducing very detailed high frequencies, as well as precise transient response and minimal distortion. The iLoud also boasts IK Multimedia's built-in calibration tech to tailor the monitor's sound output to the actual acoustic environment. And thanks to a streamlined and optimised manufacturing process, this second generation of the iLoud Precision series actually comes at a more attractive price point – making it an unrivalled, uncompromising monitoring solution for professional productions.

Cutting-edge sound

Each IK Multimedia iLoud Precision MTM MKII monitor comes fitted with a 1.5" semi-dome tweeter reinforced with graphene, combining an ultra-light build with improved rigidity. A pair of 5" paper midrange drivers deliver low distortion and sharper transient response, and the drivers are powered by a custom Class D amplifier that's been specially designed for optimum performance and efficiency in all audio applications. On the rear panel of the unit there are controls for adjusting the volume and frequency, allowing producers to fine-tune the speaker's response. For even more detailed calibration, a measurement mic can be hooked up to the XLR input, with the proprietary ARC X software correcting the sound based on the room's characteristics. And even the cabinet itself has been designed to minimise resonance and maximise damping, ensuring exceptional fidelity for mixing and mastering.

Ideal for immersive mixing

With its precise sound reproduction, the IK Multimedia iLoud Precision MTM MKII is ideal for immersive setups producing high-end 3D audio, as well as for permanent installations where visitors expect to be impressed by exceptional audio quality. Signal processing runs at up to 96kHz for uncompromising fidelity, and IK Multimedia's ARC X Reference System Modelling emulates the behaviour of industry-standard studio monitors and supports the calibration of immersive systems: Perfectly optimised sound is practically guaranteed. An optional footswitch allows users to switch instantly between ARC X profiles and make adjustments in real time. IK Multimedia now also manufactures a metal bracket specifically for this system, available separately; it ensures secure, flexible installation, enabling producers to minutely adjust the listening position to complement the monitor's dispersion angle.

Fully automated calibration

The IK Multimedia iLoud Precision MTM MKII is designed to work seamlessly with the proprietary ARC X software suite (for both Windows and macOS), giving studio engineers full access to its powerful sound-shaping tools without ever leaving the sweet spot: They just have to hook up a computer to the network port on the unit's rear panel. From there, the fully automated calibration function can optimise frequency response, levels, and delay across every channel in the monitoring system. For dialling in more personal preferences, system tuning makes it easy to make minute adjustments to the sound, while room configurations can be loaded and managed through an intuitive interface. More than 20 reference loudspeaker systems can also be emulated, providing the flexibility to craft mixes that translate into every application.
