Höfner H72/20-B Bridge

I got this to replace the bridge on my Hofner Ignition bass. It is much better quality and made of hard ebony, and has more solid brass inserts than the original bridge. Be prepared to have to sand and shape the lower part of the bridge a little to match the compound curve of the guitar so it seats down nicely, and to file notches for the strings in the brass inserts. A little time and effort, but worth it for the improved look and sound. I got the 'teacup' volume knobs at the same time, and am very pleased with my modifications!

It does exactly what it’s supposed to! Easilly installed. What many players don’t know, is that you can actually adjust intonation for each individual strings on these bridges! Just pry out those pieces of fretwire, and put them in whichever slot required. That way, you won’t have to move the bridge around!
Might not work great on other brands than Höfner, because of the narrow string spacing, and the curvature of the body.

Well this is one nice quality bridge from hofner. this bridge stands on top models of hofner basses. I think you really should take it and replace your bridge if you have budget one model.

This, along with an HA2B-PC Switch Panel and an aftermarket zero fret nut, were significant improvements to my Höfner Ignition Bass. The H72/20-B Bridge required some sanding to match the curvature of the Ignition's top, but it was not too difficult. Youtube videos helped me learn how to do the sanding. I highly recommend this bridge.

This will fit a German made model but not an Ignition or icon.

The German Hofner product is obviously perfect and very well made.

But what I want to record in this review is how absolutely fantastic Thomann are. Excellent customer service, excellent systems and procedures, excellent communication, fast and excellent shipping.

I always try to buy from them first if I can, MUCH better than any of the online music shops here on Brexit Island.
