Hanika 54PC

The guitar is beautiful in person. Absolutely perfectly made, with not a single imperfection I can see. The label is hand signed and so is the certificate with a spare bridge and the serial code. The bag is ugly as hell but incredibly sturdy.

It came perfectly set up out of the box. It holds tuning very well. It also sounds mellow and tight, with good volume and well-defined bass. I could no the happier with it.

Die Hanika 54PC 2016 ist eine tolle Gitarre mit einem sehr guten, ausgewogenen Klang. Die Töne werden differenziert wiedergegeben, egal in welcher Tonhöhe und mit welcher Stärke man spielt. Die Spielbarkeit ist ausgezeichnet. Dieses Instrument hat mich auch emotional berührt, ich habe es sofort geliebt.

Auch die Verarbeitung ist top. Im Gegensatz zu den üblichen spanischen Gitarren hat sie eine matte Oberfläche, was sehr edel wirkt. Die eingesetzten Hölzer sehen fantastisch aus. Die Haptik ist klasse. Wer sich auch optisch ein wenig absetzen möchte ist hier genau richtig.

Mitgeliefert wird eine sehr gut gepolsterte, solide Tasche ("Gigbag") in schwarz mit roten Applikationen. Es gibt ausreichend angebrachte Taschen, um seine Utensilien für unterwegs zu verstauen. Der Reisverschluss öffnet im Korpusbereich nicht ganz, die Taschenoberseite lässt sich also nicht vollständig öffnen und nach oben klappen. Das hat mich anfangs irritiert, jetzt empfinde ich es jedoch als Vorteil. Dadurch wird die Tasche auch im geöffneten Zustand stabiler und besser handhabbar.

Alles in allem bekommt man eine sehr gute Gitarre für sein Geld. Im direkten Vergleich zu den in etwa preisgleichen Ramirez RA Spruce 650, Cordoba C10, Höfner HM87-SE-0 und Juan Hernandez Profesor Cedar gewinnt sie, was vor allem am klareren Klangbild liegt.

To sum up the guitar is outstanding in every aspect.
For the last year I played Yamaha NCX-1FM and Cordoba C9 (both with spruce top).
My first impression after using Hanika 54PC for two hours:
- the sound is clear but warm, trebles are clear, bass strings, especially E6 very responsive, with deep sound. Hanika was strung with Daddario XTC, hard tension with carbon trebles. What impress me the most is very long sustain.
- playability - the action is set low, I didn't need to make any adjustments to be able to play comfortable (2.8 - 3.5 mm). The neck profile D-1 may not be suitable for all, for me it is a perfect profile. In addition the fret is very, really very smooth. What surprised me the most, despite of hard tension strings I dont have any problem with barre on 7th or 9th frets.
- the look - well, perfectly finished, a bit ascetic, definitely not for everyone's taste, but the color of the top introduces some kind of calm and for me the overall look of the guitar introduces some kind of nobleness.
Update after 5 days of playing:
After about 12 hours of playing, i'm unable to find any weak point of this instrument :-) (well, the designer of gigbag should be sentenced to death, but still it seems to be really durable).
With propper attack one is able to express any nuance of note. Sound projection is wonderfull, I didn't expect so loud guitar at this price point.
Definitely worth every penny spent.
