The case is beautiful. It meets all my expectations. It has good interior padding and a key for locking it. I only gave it 4 stars for build quality because, in my opinion, it's not a case for travel or heavy use. If you're looking for a hard case that can withstand serious impacts, harsh weather, travel, etc., this isn't the case for you. It's not a fiberglass case. However, if you're looking for a nice case to protect your guitar at home or on occasional outings, then this is the case for you. I want it for my studio. I think the price-quality ratio is fair, and if you're not obsessed with color, you can get it for a bit less in black.

Great look, poor protection

The gretsch guitar case is very pretty and looks great outside and in. The big issue is the clasp placement and poor protection that accompanies that, especially when you buy a hard case for that specific reason. It means the closed case is actually loose on the bottom, meaning there is a clear gap to see the guitar even with the case shut. It needs a 4th clasp to better secure. I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy this for protection reasons, but aesthetically it is great.
