So far this preamp does the job excellently well. Probably the Deluxe version sounds a bit better but then again that's a noticeable step up in price into a segment with a lot more competition.
I wanted an upgrade from my interface (Focusrite Scarlett) preamps. In this price tier, there doesn't seem to be a lot of competition unless you're going for something like a Behringer. I do think it improves the sound, and having a gain control as well as an output trim before the converters improves the versatility of my setup.
Would recommend to anyone with similar budgetary restrictions, except perhaps if they have a system 500 case.
