Only problem I think is the price

It sounds great, I have paired this with an SG standard, and I also changed my bridge to something more stable. It's now my favorite humbucker equipped guitar. I think it reacts to strings a bit weird. I really love them with uncoated nyxl strings, but on the other hand coated strings xs don't really sound great so much so that my non-musician friend can tell the difference as it sounds dead. I don't know if it's my specific setup even though everything else is the same such as guitar setup but I thought it might be an interesting thing to report.

Also, compared to burstbuckers, I think this is a lot of money for a small improvement on especially after medium gain and when you're playing loud which I don't believe will be obvious in a mix. If these were a bit cheaper something like 350 even, I would still give a 5 star review. But at this price I think the value proposition is unfortunately lower. But if you are at home or play alone a lot of times and want to get the custom shop sound without paying more or less the double for the guitar, this is a good compromise.

Vintage, nicht gewachst und Alnico3 Custombucker!
Wow - besser geht es kaum.
Dafür muß man aber tief in die Tasche greifen.

Montés sur une les Paul de 96, à l’électronique upgradée, et qui aura vu outre sa dotation originale, se succéder sur sa table flammée des 57 Classic, une paire de Shepton et une association Lollar/Fralin. Je peux vous assurer que les custombuckers font le son et sont bluffants de clarté, bref c’est magnifique. Seul défaut : le tarif très haut de gamme. Et peut-être l’absence de version « aged » car sur une vieille gratte leur côté neuf et clinquant jure un peu. A noter: pas de bridge ou de neck, ils se montent indifféremment en bridge ou en neck, ce que j’ai fait, en espérant qu’ils soient correctement associés. Bref, je suis content , de Gibson pour avoir enfin commercialiser leur custombucker ailleurs que sur une gratte à 6000 € mini et de Thomann pour tout le reste ! 😊
