When I bought this pickup I was yes expecting something special since we are talking about GIbson, but this thing really blew up my mind and went beyond any expectations.

Upgrade my chibson
Great sound, top quality and vintage wiring. What more do you need. Just put these to chinese "Les Paul" and re-wired everything and now it´s totally different guitar. You can find that nice Gary Moore tone rather easily with this one.

Perfect tone for me.
I bought the burstbucker pro pickups to replace the cheap chinese fitted copies on the cheap chinese copy guitar i purchased. The sound was instantly awesome as soon as they were fitted, they have a great rock tone and superb clean tone and now my cheap chinese copy guitar sounds as good as My Gibson Les Paul Studio that ive had since new in 1992. i love the tone and play both rhythm and lead guitar parts and it works so welll for both. I run through a Marshall JCM900 head and 1960 cabs and these pick ups have been everything i wanted tonally, not too hot but still sounding heavy when driven and giving that classic Gibson tone to a non gibson guitar. I cant fault them, they are awesome.

Gibson sound
When I got my gibson classic second hand it came with seymore duncan slash pickups which i didnt care for much, then i put some boutiqe PAFs - still not satsified, then I tried with bareknuckles-not yet there. At that point I thought that guitar just doesnt sound good for my ears, I finally ordered Burstbucker pro set and voila ! Thats that gibson sound that i want. Creamy and defined with good dynamics.
