Freeway Switch 3X3-03 Gold

I have fitted this switch to a guitar I have just built. The wiring diagrams are on line and there is every combination you could think of, I went for 3 dual coil and 3 single coil (neck, neck & bridge, bridge) using 2 dual coil pickups. It is quite expensive but is worth it as It looks & works great & is easy to install with basic soldering skills. I have bought another for my next guitar build.

Ich habe diesen Schalter in meine Les Paul (HH) verbaut, damit Ich die Möglichkeit habe, meine Tonabnehmer sowohl als Humbucker als auch als Singlecoil zu verwenden. Und das mit nur einer Schaltbewegung. Mit einem normalen 3-Wege-Schalter wäre es nicht möglich, soviel Zugriff gleichzeitig zu haben.

Die Installation ist nicht ganz trivial. Dafür gibt es allerdings eine Menge Schaltpläne auf der Webseite des Herstellers. Am Besten vorher nachschauen, welche Kabel man braucht. Für ein paar Schaltpläne sollte man nämlich abgeschirmte Multicores hernehmen, damit es einfacher wird.

Bei mir hat der Schalter auf Anhieb funktioniert. Ich habe den Schaltplan mit den Seriellen Humbuckern und dem Coil-Split am Neck benutzt, und damit ein paar neue Lieblingseinstellungen gefunden. Der Schalter selbst scheint mir auch sehr robust, deutlich besser als die normalen 3-Wege-Schalter (die rasten ja nicht immer richtig ein).

Kann ich also nur empfehlen, ich hab mir auf jeden Fall schon den Nächsten für meine Chapman geholt ;)

In addition to the three standard pickup selections 1. Bridge, 2. Bridge+Neck, 3. Neck, I can now also choose three new modes: 4. Single-coil (bridge), 5. Telecaster style and 6. out-of-Phase. Other connections can also be installed. I use this switch on two guitars, one with a Gibson '57 Classic 4-conductor pickup set, and another with a TV Classic Filter'tron 4-conductor pickup set. Both sets has the ability to split coils with a Freeway selector. This gold colored Freeway Switch with gold tip is also made in a nickel colored version. The switch tip thread is metric ca 3.3mm so it can't be exchanged directly with a tip from a US switch.
I recommend this switch due to the value of new soundsstyles.
