Perfect replacement

This pickguard is an exact replica for most Fender P basses and will also fit on a 13 hole bass instead of 11 hole.

The finnish was pristine when I got it and it looks EXACTLY like the one on the 50s classic reissue.

I put it on a sunburst Vintage Modified PJ and it looks amazing.

Don't hesitate, GET IT!

I got this for my Fender Player P-Bass to have a different feel as I was a bit bored of the white pickguard w/ black finish. It looked a lot better! Just a pickguard change almost made my bass like 60s P-bass. It is especially quite compatible with dark fretboards (rosewood, pau ferro). Recommended!

metal against your nails

I was really turned off by the feel of this metal pickguard. If you accidentally touch it with your nails it feels really weird and not pleasant.
The quality and finish are good, but you should check if you can stand your nails touching a brushed metal.

Severely overpriced, but it looks nice

It looks nice, but like pretty much everything with a Fender logo on the packaging it is also severely overpriced. You could almost buy an entire Harley Benton bass for this price!

I had to buy it anyway, because I was building a bass that was spec'ed to have a gold pickguard, and I couldn't find any other options on short notice.

Would I buy this again? Not unless someone asks me to build a P-style bass with a gold pickguard, and pays for the parts.
