Good strings for trying flats.. High tension!
These were the cheapest flatwounds I could find. I wanted to try some for that vintage tone on my P-bass.
The sound is what I expected: good warm vintage tone. But they're really hard to play. Very high tension compared to the d' Addario's rounds I'm used to play. It takes some time but they get easier to play. I changed them to 9050L and like those a lot better. Less tension good tone.
Overall good strings for the money.

too long for a jazz bass
I ordered these Fender strings for a Fender jazz bass, you would think they should be right but no, they are too long. the silk by the ball end overlaps the saddles and at the tuner the E string is much too long. basically unusable. very disappointed

Fijne snaren, en niet duur.
Heb deze op al mijn bassen. Speel vooral in de studio en het scheelt een hoop bijgeluiden. Dat ze van RVS zijn en flatwounds houdt ze ook lang goed. Ze klinken zoals je van flatwounds verwacht, maar zowel op mijn PJ als op mijn JB haal ik er toch ook echt wel veel hoog uit. Prima!

Perfecte snaar voor 60's muziek
Lang op zoek geweest o toch die speciale sound te krijgen die de 60's vereist. Met deze set snaren heb je dat direct. Ze spelen ekker licht , zeker voor een beginner.

Medium flatwound strings for bass
This is my first encounter with flatwound strings so a try-out so to speak. Almost three months in use on a Precision clone and they are quite settled now and I am getting more and more addicted to the smooth feel of these. The bass needed a complete turn on the trussrod to compensate for the extra tension but it has a completely satisfying setup now.
The Initial brightness in the sound has slowly faded but not to a degree that I am missing something. It gives me just that extra sound-spectrum I can't get from roundwounds and did I tell you about the smooth feel already?
They are here to stay, like a kind of Steve Harris-setup. Probably I will experiment with some other brand or type in the future but for now I'm really happy with these.
One minor detail is in the (green) silks: these are quite long so I had to cut some on the E-string for not interfering with the saddle. And they fray at the string guide.

Beter geluid
Hiervoor gebruikte ik de CL serie maar de ML bevalt mij beter.
Vooral de G klinkt beter.
Met de CL's had ik de neiging de G snaar een beetje te mijden maar met deze set gebruik ik hem weer. Van .45 naar .50 is duidelijk een verbetering.

Exact zoals het moet zijn
Niets op aan te merken, zoals verwacht. Mijn eerste keer dat ik flat-wounds gebruik, zeer aangenaam.

Voor het geld heb ik nog geen betere flatwounds gehad!
Je mist attack! maar dat weet je als je flatjes koopt! Lekkere donkere Jazz sound, the best for me.
Goed afgewerkt en super glad.

Goede snaren goede toon
Snaren zijn wat ongepolijst, kost ook geld. Klinken al goed, maar voelen wat goedkoop. Na weekje flink spelen zijn ze echter prima! Toon komt stevig door, je hoort goed welke pickups je gebruikt.
Glad en snel, maar ook mooie toon, heb ze nu al een paar maanden intensief gebruikt. Wilkinson en Fender pickups. Prima.
