Eventide PitchFactor
Effectpedaal

A whole new world of sounds
Among Eventide's many achievements is the fact that the US studio pioneers created the very first pitch shifter. Detuning single notes or entire instruments in real time, fattening their sound, adding precisely harmonised intervals – all these dreams became a reality, opening up a whole new world of sounds for musicians and studios. The Eventide PitchFactor covers every facet of this indispensible effect type in a powerful pedal that can generate four fast and yet rock-solid pitch shifts in cents, semitones, or scale-based intervals, plus additional delays of up to 1.5 seconds – all in a compact, stage-ready unit capable of storing every parameter of a user's own presets!
A full studio's effect setup in a single pedal
The Eventide Factor models are far more than just conventional pedals: They are specialised studio effects with a carefully curated set of algorithms, housed in rugged yet compact enclosures, and with interfaces designed for real-time control. The PitchFactor, which as the name suggests focuses on pitch-shifting, offers ten top-tier effect types, three footswitches, 11 knobs, a display, stereo inputs and outputs, and MIDI, alongside inputs for external footswitches and an expression pedal, as well as a USB port for hooking it up to Eventide's free-of-charge editing software. Naturally, there's also a configurable bypass function to keep signal loss to a minimum.
A cornucopia of effects – 10 algorithms, 100 presets...
Every one of the Eventide PitchFactor's 100 presets draws on one of the ten specialised algorithms, all of which use the full processing power of the onboard DSP to deliver uncompromising studio-quality audio. Its base feature set is already more than enough to make the TimeFactor appealling to both working musicians and more experimental artists: Their further options include classic octavers, chromatic and diatonic pitch shifters with up to four voices, fine detuning for thickening any signal, monophonic synth-style sounds, whammy-like real-time effects, and combinations of delays and pitch shifting for shimmering textures or arpeggios, as well as faithful simulations of Eventide's legendary H910 and H949 Harmonizers.
About Eventide
The US manufacturer Eventide is one of the pioneers of digital audio technology. The company has existed since the early 1970s and began with developments in the broadcasting sector and digital delay effects. As early as 1974 they unveiled the H910, a pitch shifter revolutionary at the time. The H3000 (1986) was milestone in the field of digital effects and was very popular with professional musicians in recording studios and live performances. The following generations of this model were ever more powerful and culminated in the current flagship H9000. Since 2007, Eventide has also been developing compact pedals, primarily for guitarists and keyboard players. To this day, Eventide's algorithms are considered among the best on the market.
Take it all from the studio to the stage
The Eventide PitchFactor's well-equipped control panel and clear display make it easy for musicians to dive right in, tweaking the sound-shaping parameters of the various effect algorithms – and they have even more control using an expression pedal or MIDI. On top of that, the free H9 Control editing suite gives users full access to the algorithms' parameters and presets – for macOS, Windows, and iOS. It's little surprise, then, that the Factor series – originally consisting of the Pitch, Time, and Mod models, as well as the Space reverb, an unofficial cousin thanks to its near-identical chassis – have been hugely popular on stage and in the studio since their launch. One major advantage they all have in common is the fact that their preset storage function allows creative musicians access to a constantly changing array of unique, personalised effects. And with their premium sound quality, versatile features, and the robust build and intuitive interface that life on stage demands, these pedals aren't just a hit with guitarists, but also with keyboard players, EDM live acts, and studio engineers.
