The EVE Audio SC204 is a compact, active two-way studio monitor from the SilverCone series and proves that even small speakers can sound great. Thanks to the combination of AMT tweeter and 4" SilverCone woofer, it achieves precise audio reproduction over the specified frequency range between 64Hz and 21kHz. The tweeter and SilverCone woofer are powered by two 50W Class D amplifiers. An internal, high-resolution DSP also provides filters that allow precise adjustment to the monitoring environment. The SC204 studio monitor receives signals via either an RCA or XLR connection. This bundle includes two SC204 speakers for a stereo setup, together with a pair of height-adjustable stands.
Smart knob and DSP
The internal DSP electronics include a high-quality Burr-Brown AD converter with 24Bit/192kHz, which converts incoming analogue signals via RCA and XLR into digital signals and sends them unaltered to the DSP for further processing. Levelling of the system volume as well as the adjustment of filters for room variables are made via the front smart knob, while the LED ring displays the selected settings. The brightness of the LEDs can be dimmed for dark lighting conditions. The DIP switches on the back of the housing are also worthy of special mention, as they can be used to secure volume and filter settings against unintentional adjustment.

Thanks to high-quality components, the EVE Audio SC204 achieves incredible sound quality on a par with larger models, despite its small dimensions. The SC204 is characterised by high transparency and a bass response that is extremely precise and assertive relative to its size. For modern, compact workspaces
As a result of its compact design, the SC204 from EVE Audio is ideal for use in a modern desktop setup or in small home studios. An advantage is that the SC204 has application-specific mounting options: Threaded screw inserts on the bottom allow it to be mounted on a standard microphone stand, while the threaded back plate enables wall-mounting. With this stand bundle, however, the speakers are predestined for use on the stands next to a desk. They can also be connected to any standard audio interface or mixer via the XLR or RCA connections. This makes EVE Audio's SC204 a reliable monitoring tool for music and video applications.
In the spotlight: SilverCone
EVE Audio uses a honeycomb-structured sandwich diaphragm for the SilverCone woofers of its SC models, which thanks to glass fibre coating offers an optimum balance between material rigidity and the production of resonances for precise playback. A copper-cap magnet system further reduces potential distortion. The result is a low distortion factor and increased transparency. Depending on the monitor model, the diaphragm is also driven by a 1" or 1.5" voice coil, which enables dynamic bass reproduction through a high, linear excursion.
