About Ernie Ball

The Ernie Ball company was named after its founder and has its headquarters in San Luis Opisbo, California. Being a guitarist himself, Ernie Ball knew their needs very well. A major problem for him in the 1950s and 1960s was the lack of high-quality guitar and bass strings. In 1962, Ernie Ball invented the “Slinky”, a very flexible and therefore much more comfortable string, which also sounded better and was more durable. He specifically brought individual string gauges onto the market for a young clientele and touring musicians. The company’s success was unstoppable, and today Ernie Ball is the world's largest manufacturer of guitar and bass strings. Over the years, the range has expanded and now includes accessories such as cables, picks, straps, etc. Ernie Ball is also known in connection with the instrument manufacturer Music Man, which the company bought in 1984, but which continues to operate as an independent brand.

Geweldig voor Drop C# en lager

Ik gebruik deze snaren voornamelijk voor drop stemmingen, van Drop C# tot Drop A.
Bij Drop A zijn ze slap, maar nog wel speelbaar. Voor drop B en C zijn ze perfect, niet te strak en niet te slap. Bij C# staan ze best strak, dit is te merken met bends maar ze zijn nog steeds makkelijk speelbaar.

Als je ze echter hoger stemt dan D standaard gaan ze snel weer terug naar D of D#, daar zal ik dunnere snaren aanraden.

goede afwerking , lange levensduur en heerlijk toon .

halve toon lager klinken ze het beste en spelen ze zeer soepel .

in originele stemming (E) zijn ze vrij stug en zou ik voor een lichtere set van ernie gaan

Nieuwe snarn jodig met wat meer gauge. Deze waren perfect!

Slinky's zijn over het algemeen een veilige weg om te gaan.
Deze set gebruik ik op een 24.75 nek in drop C.
Er is voldoende spanning om strakke palm mutes te spelen en tegelijkertijd blijft er genoeg ruimte over voor bends.
