This was the set I used before changing to my current Elixir Nanowebs. And the Ernie Ball Super Slinky (.045 - .125) is a fantastic industry standard.
The tone is undeniably punchy with a lot of high-end "zing," which is perfect if you want your bass to cut through the mix with a very organic feel. However,I eventually felt the need for a bit more tension and fundamental on the low B. Moving from this .125 to a .130 (as I did later with the Elixirs) provided that extra "muscle" and stability I was looking for.
If you prefer a slightly lighter feel and a very "bouncy" string response for slap or fast fingerstyle, this .125 set is excellent. It’s a reliable, professional set that offers great mid-range growl. A classic choice that never disappoints in terms of initial tone regarding the cost, you can buy 2 sets of these instead of a set of more expensive strings
