Excellent sound - set up in a heartbeat

The Bose L1 Pro8 is a lightweight, portable line array system and features an elegant matt black design with rounded edges that will easily blend into just about any décor, while taking next to no time to set up: All users have to do is mount the two slim line array elements on the relatively powerful subwoofer, and they are ready to go. The middle section of the assembly should be included when a standing audience is the order of the day, but omitted for use with a seated audience. The base unit features numerous connections and controls on the rear panel, including Bluetooth, a built-in compact mixer (which can also be controlled via the Bose Music app), and easy-to-use tone controls with dedicated buttons for selecting one of the various ToneMatch presets.

Users can amplify up to three channels in the blink of an eye with the Bose L1 Pro8: The first two inputs feature XLR/jack combo sockets with switchable phantom power for both channels, while the third input provides 6.35mm and mini-jack sockets as well as Bluetooth connectivity. All mixer settings can be wirelessly controlled via the Bose Music app, and the integrated ToneMatch port allows users to connect an additional Bose T4S or T8S mixing console (both available separately). Setting up and connecting the portable L1 Pro8 to a power supply using the included IEC power cord is a breeze, so listeners can instantly enjoy a powerful sound thanks to the particularly slim 7"x13" high-excursion RaceTrack driver with eight articulated 2" neodymium drivers. Users can also select from a wide range of ToneMatch presets to create an optimum sound for their performance. And thanks to its horizontal coverage of 180°, the Bose L1 Pro8 line array system always provides a clear and even sound distribution to every member of the audience.

For small venues

The Bose L1 Pro8 PA system is specially designed for small venues, where it will win over solo artists, duos, mobile DJs, and audiences alike thanks to its voluminous sound, which is diffused in a wide semi-circle in front of the array. The system takes next to no time to set up, which makes it the ideal companion for touring artists. Singer-songwriters in turn can connect their vocal microphone and a guitar, while DJs are provided with two fully-functional XLR inputs. The Bose L1 Pro8 is also eminently suitable for product presentations, since it allows speakers to quickly connect their microphone and play background music from a smartphone via Bluetooth connectivity.

Great sound in seconds

The Bose L1 Pro8, which weighs in at just 17.65kg, is the ideal solution for touring solo artists looking for a great-sounding system. Thanks to the integrated handle, the subwoofer power stand is very easy to carry from one venue to the next without additional help, and a case for the mid-high array and the extension element is included in the scope of delivery. An additional protective cover for the base unit can be purchased separately. After arriving at the venue, the L1 Pro8 PA system is set up in seconds simply by mounting the three elements together. Solo musicians can then plug their vocal mic into the first or second channel input and use the other mono channel for a keyboard or guitar. For an optimised sound output, they can add a preset by pressing the ToneMatch button of the corresponding channel until the LED for the desired preset illuminates, and subsequently fine-tune volume, treble, bass, and reverb to taste using the channel parameter control - then all they have to do is perform.

In the spotlight

L1 Mix App

The L1 Mix App is available for both Android and iOS devices. The L1 Pro array can be controlled after pairing it with the smartphone via Bluetooth connectivity. During sound checks, the app allows the system EQ to be adjusted from the position of the audience using a smartphone as a remote control. The volume of a singing voice that sounds too quiet can be easily turned up directly from the stage. The channel parameter settings allow reverb to be added to the voice, and reverb or individual channels can also be instantly muted during introductions. The app also provides access to the ToneMatch library, which allows a wide range of additional presets to be loaded to the PA system. In addition, users can save entire scenes, e.g. the optimum sound for a specific venue, to be instantly ready for their next gig at the same location.

Nearly perfect…..

I sold my Bose L1s B2 ( amazing sound and presence but too heavy &too big for my needs) and replaced it with the Bose Pro 8. I gig a fair bit solo (sax +backing tracks) and wanted something lighter but with the big Bose sound.
This system is great, its very compact and light, quick to set up and get running. The sound is excellent with great penetration and presence. The onboard reverb is really good and bluetooth means no wires ( I also now use a bluetooth mic) and there’s an app thats pretty easy to use.
Negatives? Well , it’s not cheap but in my view worth it and it ticked nearly all my wishlist boxes. Except…the wobbly column spacer , how Bose didn’t correct that before going to market I don’t understand, it’s Beta test product quality, and there’s a small niggle that there’s no master volume control which is an oversight.
Otherwise…GREAT. I often play outside events and the sound is bug enough for upto 100 people in my view.
One more thing, the Thomann Cover is an excellent fit and great quality.

I like the full sound (however bose-like special) and the very wide directivity this speaker array gives you. I use it for having a mono-source speaker for synthesizers, it is big and very hifi. The spread of the array excites the room in a more 'big' musical way than a normal PA monitor would in my sense. Also the smaller speakers in the array give less of a midrange fatigue or harshness, which I like in my setup.

However, build quality (hard plastic) can be much much better and I did not like the responsivity of the wireless app control.

Die Bose L1 Pro 8 ist eine super PA, die fantastisch klingt. Da kommen Erinnerungen an meine erste L1 Klassik hoch. Der integrierte 3-Kanal-Mixer bietet alles was man braucht. Die App steuert und macht den schnellen Zugriff auf Tone Match möglich. Das Gewicht blieb moderat und ist auch für Solisten machbar. In einem Saal konnte ich die Qualitäten leider noch nicht testen. Aber im direkten Vergleich zur Compact (gleiche Räumlichkeit) bietet die Pro 8 alles was man sich von der neuen Generation erhofft hat, Tone Match, Bluetooth, ein integrierter Mixer und die Bose Control App. Leider muss man bei diesem Preis die passende Schutzhülle für den Subwoofer dazukaufen. Insgesamt, eine tolle Anlage, ganz gleich ob für Solisten, mobile DJs oder Bands.

È una vergogna che in un prodotto cosi costoso non includano una borsa protettiva.Invece di fare inutili video su you tube facciano cose piú utili per i clienti.
It's a shame that in such an expensive product they don't include a protective bag, instead of making useless YouTube videos they do more useful things for customers.
