I am a guitarplayer and know absolutely nothing about synths. But..there is this fascination with the sounds a synthesizer and electronic tone producing devices can come up with. I know what i love and that are good sounds. And that's why i bought an Arturia Microfreak too. And this Behringer Edge ' thing' is great in producing fabulous sound palets aswel 2 years ago i purchased the Crave. I bought it for the looks and the feel. Sensing it must be good. Instantly won over by the build quality when it arived. Fantastic sequencing maschine. Very well build and endless posibillities sound wise. it's peer, the Edge, is like a very unconventional drummer. Can play with it for hours. At a certain moment i even succeeded in getting a sound spectrum reminiscing an Indonesian Gamelan palet. Amazing. I am a videoproducer and editor by trade and i defenitly see possibilities to intergrade the sounds these things produce into my filmwork. As soon as Thomann showed it on the website, available in a few weeks, i knew i had to have it. Immidiately ordered it. No regrets. Very happy it's here

Ik ben erg tevreden over de Edge maar ik vind het geen vervanger voor m'n DFAM. De Edge en de DFAM werken mooi samen in m'n studio. In grote lijnen; de Edge klinkt wat grof vergeleken bij de DFAM dit wat meer verfijnder klinkt. Daarmee bedoel ik niet dat de DFAM beter is maar gewoon een iets ander karakter heeft. Ik vind de Edge echt een aanrader. Ik wil nog een 2e voor stereogeluid.
Enige minpunt, en dit is persoonlijk, is de afwerking. De kleur vind ik echt minder mooi. Van mij hadden ze de DFAM kleuren mogen gebruiken.

a strange instrument. You could experiment a lot with it. I hope that more videos on youtube will come with ideas

What a beast
After one year of use I feel I can give an honest review. I figure everybody knows this is a behringer take on the dfam. But with USB midi, which is good
This thing really is an adventure box. The possibilities are so vast. Use it as a beat or groove, or patch it to another box and use it as a sequencer, or both. The semi modular options really make it possible to go crazy
There is a learning curve but that makes it fun too
I'm using it with a model d and soon a RD-9
Try it with a mixer with effects or a pedal too
Or run it through your daw of course
