Coede demping, zeer slechte kwaliteit

Ik had deze beater besteld voor mijn Roland VAD-716, omdat de basdrum in een appartement toch nog behoorlijk luid doorklinkt. Eerlijk is eerlijk: qua geluidsdemping doet hij precies waarvoor hij gemaakt is. Het tikgeluid wordt heel erg goed gedempt. Helaas bleek de bouwkwaliteit een minpunt. Tijdens het spelen van Pneuma van Tool is de beater gewoon in tweeën gebroken. Voor drummers die wat steviger spelen, is dit product helaas absoluut geen aanrader.

Pluspunten: Uitstekende geluidsdemping, ideaal voor een appartement.

Minpunten: Kwetsbaar materiaal, breekt zeer snel bij intensief gebruik.

They were fine, but then broke

The main problem is that they immediately started to bend in the place where metal shaft connects with the plastic. And mind you, I'm not a death metal player, so when one of them broke in that exact connection I was quite dissapointed.

In addition to that, they are much lighter that the usual beaters, which obviously helps with the noise, but nevertheless could throw you off due to the changes in how you feel the kick.

In terms of silence they were ok, although they have a certain "smack" sound when they hit an electronic kick drum pad, which others beaters (silent or not) I have used. This a not that big of a deal, since that smack is more high pitched, therefore easier to muffle, but it's a strange thing for a silent beater to have nonetheless.

With all that and a quite high price I would not recommend this

My electric kit at home is in a first-floor room - we are semi-detached and I also have substantial floor vibration cancelling materials that the kit sits on but the kick pedal was still slightly carrying through the floorboards to next door ( neighbours are fine as it was very slight) but I wanted it to be perfect and this beater is the answer. Really impressed, took a couple of sessions to get used to the flex in the shaft but now it's perfect. Well worth the money

Too fragile

I installed it in my double bass and took just a couple of days to break, it is not resistance enough for real playing.
