Illumination for photo, film and video

The VarytecVP-m20 Mobile Video BiLight Panel evenly illuminates a small indoor film set that seats one to two people. With an outstandingly high CRI value, the small spotlight provides convincingly natural colour rendition. The right white tone helps to puts people or objects in the best possible light. The colour temperature, meanwhile, can be seamlessly mixed from cool to warm white. The spotlight can also be angled steplessly on its mounting bracket - the handy unit can be mounted via the holes in said bracket. The scope of delivery includes a 16mm spigot for mounting as well as a power supply unit with cable. Conveniently, the housing also offers a USB port that can be used to charge a smartphone, for example.

Wide-area light for a small set

With 300 SMD LEDs, the Varytec VP-m20 Mobile Video BiLight Panel provides wide-area basic illumination for small sets: 150 LEDs each distribute warm white light with 2,850 Kelvin and cool white light with 5,700 Kelvin in a wide beam angle of 120°. The angle can be limited with fixed barndoors. It takes 4.5 hours to charge the built-in lithium-ion battery. The power consumption of the power supply unit is 45W. The operating controls and connections are located on the rear of the housing. The spotlight is switched on below the connection socket, which is used to connect the included power supply unit via a relatively short cable. To the right, a USB port can be used to charge smartphones or cameras with 5V voltage. Last but not least, the two rotary controls next to it can be used to seamlessly mix cold and warm white.

For liverstreamers, filmmakers and photographers

With the Varytec VP-m20 Mobile Video BiLight Pa, ambitious live streamers and photographers can evenly illuminate small areas. Close-ups of the face can also be excellently staged with this. Those who, for example, create make-up tutorials or like to take their own job application photos, will benefit from lighting that clearly illuminates cheeks and foreheads from the sides. At the same time, the high CRI value of over 95 ensures a natural look. Videographers can limit the light cone to the set their working on with the integrated barndoors. Reporters, on the other hand, benefit from the long battery life. If both cool and warm white are used at 100 per cent, a full four hours are possible. If only one white tone is used, you even have 7.5 hours.

Illuminate the set

A Varytec VP-20 Mobile Video BiLight is rarely employed on its own. The mini spotlights provide the best illumination when one is placed on the left and one on the right, slightly above a person or object. To be as flexible as possible, it is best to place the spots on height-adjustable stands, which can be purchased as accessories. For solid mounting, use the holes in the spotlight bracket and, if necessary, the supplied adapter for 5/8" spigots. Depending on your needs, you can also add a front light. For example, the Varytec VR-260 Video Ring Light LED Bi is recommended. When shooting, it is best to transport the spotlight in the matching, optionally available bag.

Lovely little product with great spec.
Purchased 3 of these - delighted with them as they cover Daylight to Indoor without a bother. Battery is good for short spells and you can even charge your phone from them! Barndoors are great on them too. The only downside was I had to drill a slightly bigger hole on the frame so as to fit them to a floor mount. A great purchase.

Bought 2 of these lights to do a small studio video shoot and for the money the quality was outstanding giving me ultra clear definition -10 out of 10 and worth the money.

Das VP-M20 ist ein kleine durchdachter Weißlicht-Akku-Scheinwerfer.
Die Einstellung von Kalt- und Warmweiß erfolgt über ordentliche Drehknöpfe an der Rückseite. Hier kann man exakt die gewünschte Lichtfarbe einstellen.
Wir haben beim ersten Einsatz einen 5 Stunden Videodreh mit diesen Leuchten durchgeführt. Die Akkuleistung hat uns hier voll überzeugt. Mitgeliefert wird hier ein Adapter für Stativaufnahme. Man schraubt ihn direkt an den Bügel der Lampe und kann ihn auf jedem Stativ mit einem 16mm Mini-TV-Zapfen montieren, z.b. die bekannten Manfrotto Stative.
Wir haben uns hier ein Paar adapter geschnappt und dann auf einem Mikrofonstativ mit Rundsockel montiert und somit ein kleines Set für verschiedene Beleuchtungsituationen zusammengestellt.
Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das zu kurze Kabel von Netzteil zur Ladebuchse des Scheinwerfers. Dies soll aber demnächste länger werden, wie mir die Hotline von Thomann auf nachfrage mitteilte. Zum Laden im Lager vollkommen ok.
Wir haben uns für unsere zwei Scheinwerfer die passende Tasche mit bestellt. Diese passt perfekt für unsere zwei VP-m20.
Wir hatten schon mehrere Einsätze, vom Filmdreh aber auch Videopodcasts mit einer Person. Die Helligkeit ließ sich exakt einstellen und war somit immer an die Situation perfekt anpassbar.
Für diesen Preis unschlagbar. Hatten Erst die Apature ins Auge gefasst. Aber Durch die Stabilen Torblenden aus Metal zum begrenzen des Lichts, sind wir auf diesen Scheinwerfer gekommen und haben die richtige Entscheidung getroffen.
